The Cinematic Katzenjammer: Box Office Talk: November 9

Thursday

Box Office Talk: November 9

Excellent debuts last weekend from both Wreck-It Ralph and Flight. Each movie received very good Cinemascores, meaning all the positive word of mouth should keep each film from large drops this coming weekend.
This coming weekend there’s only one new release, and it’s a biggie! James Bond makes his 23rd official appearance in film, in what some are calling the best James Bond film in the series. Daniel Craig returns as the iconic Bond for the 3rd time, and joining him are Dame Judi Dench (making her 7th appearance) as M. Javier Bardem takes on the role as Bond’s foil Silva, in the Sam Mendes directed Skyfall. For those that care, Grammy winning singer Adele sings the opening theme. As of 11/7/2012 the film has already grossed over $321 million worldwide, so expect the film to open very well in the states. I think Skyfall goes on set the record for highest opening and highest grossing Bond film in the series. Happy Golden Anniversary Mr. Bond! Here’s your martini, shaken and not stirred.

Here’s how I foresee the rest of the weekend Top 10:

Richard,

I saw it on Wednesday, and loved it as well.

I hope to put my thought down on paper this weekend, and have a review up before the weekend is over....HOPE!
