An Exclusive Look Ahead: Life of Pi

I decided to start a new feature (yes, again) where I discuss a movie I'm really looking forward to while including images, links, and videos in relation to the film. There's still plenty of amazing films on the way and I'm sure I'll have a lot to discuss. For the first edition of A Look Ahead, I wanted to focus on Life of Pi

Life of Pi is directed by Ang Lee (Brokeback Mountain) and is an adaptation of the best-selling novel written by Yann Martel. It tells the story of Pi Patel, a young man who's stranded at sea in a small lifeboat. To make matters worse, his only fellow survivor is a large Bengal tiger. As the two struggle to find rescue, they develop a rather unique bond.

I'm really excited about this movie as I am a big fan of the book. The story is much more beautiful and intricate than just a simple tale of survival, and it raises plenty of questions concerning religion, growing up, and the strength to be found inside each of us. From the CK Exclusive Photographs I've attached below, it looks like Ang Lee has definitely captured the perfect look for the film. This imagery is drop-dead-beautiful, with so much color accenting each scene and backdrops and scenery that any one of these shots could pass as masterpiece paintings. The entire movie looks like a work of art and I can only imagine what Life of Pi will look like on the big screen (especially in 3D).

Thanks to the Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation, below are a bunch of exclusive (yes, you read that right) stills from the movie as well as a couple of behind the scenes images. Check out the trailer as well.
